Poor you no comments! Well here is one. I have just this minute browsed through the photos of the Lodge and the thought ran through my mind "What would gt.gt. grandfather Joseph Rossiter Billing have thought about the state of the garden"!!! Horror I think when you look around the town and see what still remains of his work.
What has the Council got in the way of information on him? I would like a copy of the info. if you can find any. Unfortunately Derek Shaw an old friend of Mum andDad who used to work for I think the town cleks office died a long time ago otherwise I would be askinghim if he could find any information. Alec Shaw his older brother lives here in Hamilton and came out here before we did, now must be in his eighties. He was Richard Bennett's god father and Richard rang him when he was here a couple of weeks ago.
